Sustainable Kitchen (SK) has a root system fed from many sources. Run with an ever evolving love and respect of food by the owner and head chef/visionary Kate Halladay. With a palate that leans towards clean, bright and globally inspired, Kate has always strived to present food as beautiful as it is delicious. By fostering relationships with local farmers and a complete embracing of specialty diets and their related ingredients, SK has found its groove by delivering items as pleasing to the eye as they are to the body and mind, without having to sacrifice a bit of taste or beauty when making Gluten-Free, Plant-Based, Paleo, Vegan and Vegetarian food choices.

At SK, we accept all eaters and appreciate many forms of cooking. Although we primarily focus on whole foods and plant-based ways of eating, we believe that sometimes classic flour and real sugar filled recipes, can’t be beat! Every item is hand crafted by Kate, with the help of her partner Rick. The two pour their love of food, good health, and the state they call home, into their everyday work.

SK is proud to call Vermont home, and is honored to be able to serve its local communities. Fulfilling delivery orders to faithful established customers/friends. Meeting and serving visitors and locals at the Farmers Markets. Providing rewarding meals to marathoners post-race. Supplying cakes, pies, and other baked goods for your special events. Helping to feed local Vermonters through the Everyone Eats program. Every chance SK has to feed people is another opportunity to express a deep love and respect of food, connection, healing, the local landscape, and the people that make it so special.

Whether it’s raw food items like spring rolls or gf power bars, delicately prepared currys and soups, a rustic bread boule, a custom crafted birthday cake, or a full course meal from start to finish you can rest assured SK has you covered!
